Kentucky lawmakers and law enforcement officials plan to be on hand Tuesday to introduce legislation they say will strengthen laws on synthetic drugs in Kentucky.
Earlier this month, a WKYT Investigation found only four counties in the state: Rowan, Laurel, Barren, and McCracken have enacted ordinances to ban the sale of such drugs.
Since then, both Pulaski and Whitley County have enacted bans as well.
The drugs are sold at some gas stations and are called incense, potpourri, or bath salts.
In some cases, they can be deadly.
Tuesday's news conference to introduce statewide legislation is set for the afternoon.
