The Kentucky Public Service Commission will hold a public forum Thursday night to discuss a surcharge that could be added to some electric bills.

Kentucky Utilities is one company asking the P.S.C. to allow their request for the additional charge.

The company says it needs the money to comply with new federal regulations affecting utilities that burn coal for power.

The meeting will be held in the auditorium of Lynn Camp High School. It starts at 5:30 p.m.
