Three railroad crossings will be closed in Perry County this month.
The first to close is the crossing on Allais Road tomorrow at 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Workers will replace the crossing and put in a new panel making it safer for the public.
Railroad officials say they do this every 15 years.
Only emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the crossing.
"There's several houses. We've talked to all the businesses and the technical college. They know we're doing it tomorrow, but there is no other way in and out of this area," said Geoff McGuire, a road master.
No marked detours will be posted.
The crossing at KY 476 near Wabaco School will be closed on Tuesday and another on KY 1440 next Thursday.
