Rebuilding, cleaning follow floods in Leslie County

Wooton, Ky. (WYMT)-- A crew from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet worked Thursday to rebuild a driveway Wednesday night's flooding destroyed.

"It came so quick," said Nick Walker, whose driveway the crew worked on Thursday morning. "There wasn't a whole lot that could be done. The water rose within probably 45 minutes."

Walker's son, Braden, 9, recorded the water on video as it rose.

"I came outside and I saw the storm and it was making the water come up and up," he said.

Walker eventually received a ride to work, but thought of using an alternative method.

"I can actually take my four-wheeler to work from here. It's only a mile away," he said.
