Redesigned Camry unveiled

Tuesday, we got a glimpse of the future of Toyota in the bluegrass.

The all-new, redesigned Camry rolled off the assembly line at the Toyota Kentucky plant in Georgetown Tuesday afternoon.

It's been a rough year for Toyota so far. The auto giant sunk to number three in global sales behind General Motors and Volkswagen. That decline is blamed mainly on production disruptions caused by the March earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Tuesday, Toyota unveiled its seventh generation Camry, hoping to once again rise in global sales.

"We've got a great product, and you've worked hard to prepare yourselves better than ever so I think we're really gonna hit a home run with this one," said TMMK President Wil James to fellow team members during the unveiling.

Team leaders say the new Camry has better gas mileage and a more spacious interior than their older models.
