Rep. Lonnie Napier plans to retire

A state representative plans to retire from the state legislature after 28 years.

Lonnie Napier represents Garrard County and part of Madison County.

The republican told the Advocate-Messenger that this legislative session will be his last.

However, he hasn't ruled out running for office again.

Napier has recently called for mandatory drug testing of welfare recipients.
