The flood waters are beginning to slowly recede across most of Eastern Kentucky and the snow showers are coming to an end. Roads will remain slick tonight as temperatures drop below zero. The News Journal reports Corbin's city manager Bill Ed Cannon owes more than $4,000 in unpaid property taxes.
The report shows some of the unpaid bills date back at least one decade and one of the properties is located in the Cardinal Heights subdivision where he lives.
Corbin city commissioner Joe "Butch" White says a portion of Cannon's $78,000 salary comes from taxpayers and that Cannon's tax woes are a source of embarrassment for city leaders.
