A Letcher County rest home is slapped with the state's most serious citation.
The Lexington Herald Leader reports the Golden Years Rest Home in Jenkins received a Type-A Citation.
A resident was allegedly taken to the emergency room for treatment of wrist injuries in March after an altercation.
The citation says six residents claimed there was no staff member on the floor at the time of the fight.
The administrator of the rest home says he expects to appeal the citation because a staff member had just stepped out for a moment and was there 15 seconds after the fight.
