A grand jury has indicted a former rest home operator for allegedly stealing federal money intended to pay for his residents' care.

James "Chum" Tackett faces 19 counts of theft of government funds.

The thefts allegedly took place between 2007 and 2009, while Tackett ran the Golden Years Rest Home in Letcher County.

Officials say Tackett got away with more than $92,000.
