Ribbon-cutting held for new Pikeville restaurant

Updated: Mon 6:30 PM, Dec 03, 2012

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Pikeville restaurant.

Penn Station East Coast Subs opened its doors last month, and Monday officials with the restaurant and chamber members welcomed them to town.

The restaurant's owner, Tom Wright, says he is excited it is finally open in Eastern Kentucky.

"We're just trying to show the public that we want to be part of the community. We really like Pikeville. As I say we've been trying to get here for the last year and a half, and it has not disappointed us," said Wright.

Penn Station is located on Cassady Boulevard next to Walmart.
