Many areas are still dealing with flooding, even as snow and sleet start to replace the rain. Some of the local major rivers are above flood stage and still rising. The good news is, many of the others have crested and will start to fall. The snow and sleet will continue through much of the day, before wrapping up tonight. Most areas will see several inches of accumulation. Keep it locked to WYMT for updates.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - A Winchester model 1892 rifle purportedly owned by William Anderson "Devil Anse" Hatfield is on display for a few weeks at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in Frankfort.
The rifle was donated to the Kentucky Historical Society collections in 2008 by Dr. Glenn Marsh and Judy Marsh. It is believed to have been owned by the patriarch of the Hatfield family known for a feud with the McCoy family in eastern Kentucky and West Virginia.
The Kentucky Historical Society says the rifle has a serial number dated 1903, after the feud was over.
The rifle is on display at the center and will remain through the first week of July.
