A man who gave his life for his country in 1970 was honored Wednesday in Pike County.
Sergeant Chester Gene Hall was leading his troops into Cambodia when he received fatal wounds.
Kentucky Highway 122 in the Robinson Creek Community of Pike County was dedicated to the war hero.
Sergeant Hall's sister says her brother gave the ultimate sacrifice, and she is so thankful that he will be honored in this way.
"It really makes me proud that he would be honored in this way especially here in the community where he lived all his life," said Rose Newsome.
The VFW Post in Pound, Virginia presented full military honors at the event.
