A derailed train on the Norfolk & Southern Line has been moved out of the way of traffic.
"It's just been sitting there," says William Wright who lives nearby. "I have no idea what the problem it. It's a waste of time sitting here."
That was the concern through late Monday afternoon. There were no signs warning travelers the train crossing the road was disabled.
An email sent Monday afternoon from Norfolk & Southern confirmed 17 of the 110 coal cars on that train had derailed. None of the coal cars lost their load, and no coal was spilled.
For people who drive along that stretch of Route 75 and are familiar with the area, the tracks are right behind Rocky Top Pizza.
