Rounds of heavy rain will begin to move into the area later tonight, leading to the increased potential for flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire area from now through Thursday and a Winter Storm Warning goes into effect tomorrow. As we head into Wednesday, temperatures will drop and transition our rain to sleet and eventually to snow. Most of the area could see several inches of snow and sleet before it's all said and done. LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Jason Egan scored 14 points as Rowan
County beat Daviess County 45-32 in the first round of the Kentucky
boys' Sweet 16 tournament Thursday.
The Vikings (28-5) led comfortably throughout the game because
of their defense in the first three quarters. They held Daviess
County to 17.8 percent from the field through the third quarter,
including 3-of-16 from 3-point range.
In the fourth quarter, Rowan County stretched its lead to 22
points at 41-19, the largest lead of the game with 5:48 to go. The
Panthers (26-5) scored 13 unanswered points but never got closer
Tyler Lashbrook scored 13 points for Daviess County.
Rowan County will play the winner of Thursday's first-round game
between Wayne County and Perry County Central in Friday's
