Rumors of "hit list" prompt heightened security threat

An eastern Kentucky school had heightened security on Monday.

Rockcastle County High School Principal, Jennifer Mattingly, says the move stems from a disciplinary incident from Friday.

The principal says that during the weekend false rumors of a hit list were spread through texting and social network sites.

A total of four extra officers were at the school, including sheriff's deputies and state police troopers.

The school also sent a letter home to parents.
