Runners remembering 12-year-old killed two years ago

Saturday morning more than 200 people ran and walked to raise money for the Cameron Hoskins Foundation in Chavies.

Two years ago, 12-year-old Cameron Hoskins was hit by a car and killed in Perry County.

The foundation in his name provides scholarships for Buckhorn, Hazard, and Perry County Central High School student-athletes.

Cameron's mother says he was an avid athlete with a competitive spirit.

The Second Annual Cam-Run is sponsored by the foundation.

"It just really blesses my heart to think that there are this many people who cared about cameron and want to see his name carried on," said Kim Hoskins, Cameron's mother.

The Cameron Hoskins Foundation has awarded more than 9,000 dollars to student-athletes in the area.
