Salvation army canteen unveiled in Bell County

It's a meal making machine on wheels! That's how some are describing a new canteen the Salvation Army unveiled in Bell County.

The truck has a full kitchen on board, so disaster relief services can be provided anywhere with just a moment's notice.

Officials say our area has seen its share of natural disasters this year from flooding to storms, and they're glad to have such a resource in our backyard.

"This canteen is priceless. This allows us to get the resources out to meet immediate needs," said Albey Brock, Bell County Judge-Executive.

The truck will stay parked in Bell County, but it will be sent to neighboring counties in Kentucky and Tennessee in times of need.
