LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The first woman to serve on the U.S.
Supreme Court is addressing members of the Kentucky legal community as they gather in Louisville this week for the Kentucky Bar
Association annual convention.
Retired Associate Justice Sandra Day O'Connor is speaking at the
event on Wednesday on the merit selection of judges.
More than 1,800 lawyers are expected to attend the convention,
which continues through Friday.
Incoming KBA President Douglas Myers of the Hopkinsville law
firm Deatherage, Myers & Lackey will be sworn in at the annual
banquet Thursday night.
