MCCREARY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - An employee of a McCreary County school has been arrested for making a threat.

50-year old James Paulson, a technology assistant assigned to Pine Knot Elementary School, is in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Paulson is charged with terroristic threatening.

Kentucky State Police arrested Paulson on Tuesday night. According to police, Paulson made threatening comments about the school and superintendent after learning that some of his co-workers would not be retained.

We're told the school district called parents and faculty members Tuesday night, letting them know about the threat.

According to State Police, no evidence was found in Paulson's home that would indicate that he was able to carry out the threat.

McCreary County Schools opened as normal today. The McCreary County Superintendent said he could not comment on the status of Paulson's employment.
