School in the middle of investigation

One small school in Floyd County finds itself in the middle of an investigation regarding payments made to the school’s director.

Attorney General Jack Conway's office filed a petition against former David School Director Daniel Greene in circuit court.

Court records indicate that the state attorney general's office is investigating payments made to Greene and asking the school to hand over documents relating to those payments.

A petition was filed after Greene allegedly used school funds for his own profit.

School officials say they were shocked when they heard the news.

The school's principal says she's helping the students through this confusing time.

“I and the other teachers will answer questions but there really aren’t questions that we can answer right now because there aren't answers. We're certainly available to anyone who wants to talk about it,” David School Principal Diantha Daniels said.

Principal Daniels says that she cannot directly comment on the issue at this time, but says she continues to keep the Greene family in her prayers.
