School system could be facing major deficit

A Kentucky school system could be facing a major deficit.

The Appalachian News Express reports Pike County Schools could be facing a possible two million dollar deficit.

District budget committee members approved a budget last week.

The decision means officials may have to lay off employees and the school system could face a state takeover.
