Search continues for alleged shooter

A man is still on the run after allegedly shooting his father on KY 80 in Perry County.

Police say Ronald Clark, Jr. shot his father multiple times.

The shooting happened around 7:30 last night in front of Clark's Liquor Store in the Avawam community.

KSP officers responded to the scene and blocked off the road for nearly an hour.

Ronald, Jr. fled the scene before KSP arrived.

His father Ronald, Sr. was taken to Hazard ARH by a neighbor.

KSP detectives say they interviewed Ronald, Sr. at the hospital.

"According to Mr. Clark, his son, Ronny K. Clark, had fired several shots at him with a shotgun. And after firing the shots, fled the scene. Mr. Clark, Sr. was taken to Hazard ARH Hospital where he's listed in stable condition at this time," said KSP Sergeant Barry Engle.

Warrants are out for ronald junior on charges of wanton endangerment first degree, assault first degree, and criminal mischief first degree.

The search continues for Ronald, Jr.
