Severe weather looks likely later this afternoon. The best chances appear to be between 3 p.m. and Midnight. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and an isolated tornado or two are possible. The area at the greatest risk for severe weather in eastern Kentucky is in the Cumberland Valley, near the I-75 corridor. Keep it locked here for updates.
We are just a few days away from the Kentucky/Louisville game and it continues to be the talk of the nation.
By many the game is being referred to as the second civil war as the Commonwealth of Kentucky is divided.
Wednesday, on the senate floor, United States Senator Mitch McConnell addressed congressional leaders on the importance of this rivalry and pointed out that this rivalry is like none other.
"Let me say that again, so my friends in North Carolina can hear it: UofL and UK have the best rivalry in all of college basketball, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky is the best college basketball state in the nation,” Senator McConnell said.
McConnell went on to announce that whoever wins the game will come back as the national champions.
