Kentucky's two U.S. Senators and their Tennessee colleagues propose legislation to keep fishing near dams on the Cumberland River legal.
The legislation aims to prevent the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from putting barriers on the tailwaters of Barkley and Wolf Creek Dams.
Both Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul say they have heard from local officials saying the closing of the tail waters would hurt the area's economy.
