Several people facing drug charges in Logan County, WV

LOGAN, W.Va. (WYMT/WSAZ) - Deputies helped to uncover a large drug operation and ultimately several arrests they hope with put a dent in some of the drug activity.

The Logan County Sheriff's Department got a tip about a home in Holden where drug trafficking was happening. The U.S. 119 Task Force assisted with the search of a home on Skyview Avenue. Police found two plastic bags containing approximately 18 grams of crack cocaine, a clear bag containing approximately 2 grams of marijuana and $1,551.00 in cash, according to a press release.

Roshawn L. Ransom, of Holden, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. The homeowner, Neressa Harger, of Holden was charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance. Shannon Dawn Baisden of Verdunville, and Adrienne Rene Chippent of Harts, are both facing a drug charge.

Ransom and Hager are behind bars at the Southwestern Regional Jail. Ransom was placed on at $35 thousand bond and Hager was placed on a $15 thousand bond.

Later Friday night, four deputies got other tips about a drug operation in the Omar area of Logan County. A search warrant was executed and deputies found a clear bag with 59 individually wrapped pieces of heroin, 110 Roxycodone tablets and 6 grams of marijuana and $1,900.00 in cash.

Deputies say the illegal drugs found belonged to Corey D. Green of Toledo, Ohio and that he has been selling the drugs throughout the day. Green was charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance. Green is incarcerated at the Southwestern Regional Jail and is currently placed on a $150 thousand bond.
