Severe weather preparedness week underway

JACKSON, Ky.(WYMT)- The National Severe Weather Preparedness Week starts today and runs through Saturday.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency or FEMA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration set aside this week to educate people of the importance of having an emergency plan when severe weather strikes. They want to challenge people to know your risk, take action, and be an example.
