Sewer system repairs begin

Workers in Whitley County began repairs Wednesday to fix an aging sewer system in the courthouse.

On Tuesday, several offices in the courthouse closed early due to sewer problems in an older part of the building.

Repairs will include removing part of the floor by the sheriff's office to uncover a collapsed sewer line servicing the 80 year old part of the facility.

Only the northern doors to the courthouse will be closed during the repairs.
