LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - Owners of a southern Laurel County restaurant, forced to close the doors in August due to a cockroach infestation, face new troubles.
The Corbin News Journal reports, a sign on the door reveals the Shoney's in Corbin will remain closed because of unpaid taxes.
The restaurant shut down back in August because of a cockroach infestation.
Shoney's was approved to reopen, but never did.
The Kentucky Department of Revenue says the owners will have to pay the full $52,000 owed, along with another $8,500 bond to get back in business.
