Shooting puts one man in the hospital

A shooting in an apartment complex parking lot in Clay County put one man in the hospital.

It happened on Coal Hollow Road at about 5 a.m. on Saturday.

The victim says he was standing in the parking lot when he heard a gunshot in the distance.

The man shot says he felt a burning sensation in his foot and discovered a gunshot wound.

The victim was treated and released from the Manchester Memorial Hospital with a minor injury.

No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made at this time.

State police in London are investigating the shooting incident.

They were assisted by the Manchester Police Department and the Clay County EMS.
