Shoppers pack stores for after Christmas sales

MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - Shoppers packed local stores for the day after Christmas sales.

Officials with the Middlesboro Mall reported good crowds on Wednesday. Store managers say sales went well.

Some stores offered big discounts to draw shoppers to buy.

Employees say a lot of the leftover Christmas decorations also sold.

"It's going really well. We've sold a lot already. As you can see, most of our Christmas has been going quite well. Everything is 75 percent off. Christmas has been coming down," said J.P. Fix with Belk in Middlesboro.

Store managers say there are plenty of end of the year sales this week and next week for New Year's.
