The rain will transition over to snow as we head into mid to late morning across the area. We will see the chances for light accumulation in the valley areas with 1-3" possible on the ridge tops above 2000 feet. Slick spots are possible on untreated roads. While significant snow is not expected, we have issued a Severe Weather Alert Day to keep you informed on possible negative impacts to travel through Tuesday afternoon.
A Kentucky soldier accused of killing two women was back in court Friday ahead of his military trial.
Police say Brent Burke killed his estranged wife and her former mother-in-law in Rineyville back in 2007.
Four civilian trials have ended in mistrials or hung juries, so a civilian judge dismissed murder charges against Burke.
The military then filed premeditated murder charges in the case.
Burke was a military policeman at the time of the alleged crimes.
The hearing is taking place at Fort Campbell and is expected to last one to two days.
