Soldiers coming home for Christmas due to donations

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WKYT) - A central Kentucky father's efforts to bring some soldiers in his son's unit home for the holidays have paid off.

Rodney Goodlett says four soldiers are home for the holidays after raising roughly a thousand dollars in a few days with his impromptu fundraiser.

We first told you about Goodlett's effort a couple weeks ago, he lives in Lawrenceburg.

He says donors have asked him to start raising money earlier next year, he says he might do just that.
