FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Closing in on two weeks with no water some folks in Floyd County say they are losing trust they will keep it when it comes back on.
Folks in the Frasure's Creek area say they got water back after nearly a week and a half only to lose it again.
Several folks say they have had to deal with water outages for the past two weeks.
Donald Adams says he is tired of turning his faucets on and not seeing any trickle of water.
"You can't bathe. You can't clean house. You ain't got nothing to cook in," he said.
Adams says he and his neighbors went 10 days without water and were thrilled to have it back, but it went out again Wednesday leaving them dry for a total of almost 12 days.
He says the creek in his back yard is the only way he gets any relief.
"It's hard to get it out of the creek. Now I'm disabled and getting in the creek to catch a five gallon bucket of water to flush the commodes with makes it pretty bad," he said.
Adams says he hopes to see his water come back on soon, but even when it does he says he is not sure he can trust it will stay on.
Southern Water Company says the water outages Thursday are due to a separate water line break Wednesday night.
They hope to have all those homes back with water by Thursday evening.
The water company says Wednesday's line break left about 75 customers with no water.
