Southern Kentucky county gets funding for ambulance service

A Southern Kentucky county was awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

McCreary County's ambulance service was given nearly $200,000 to be used to buy new heart monitors for their ambulances.

The EMS director says some of the money will be used for training as well.

The ambulance service must match five percent of the grant.
