FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - It's time for spring cleaning on Kentucky's roadsides, and volunteers will be out doing just that next week.
March 17 to 23 is Adopt-a-Highway Spring Clean Week.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says almost 750 groups participate in the program, which is 25 years old this year. Those groups clean some 5,100 miles of roadside each year.
The program is open to any permanently established business, association, community or public organization, or government entity.
