State Senate Bill could change age Kentucky kids could start kindergarten

A Bill in the State Senate would change the age in which Kentucky kids could start kindergarten.

Currently as long as a child is five by October first, they can start school that year meaning some kids are just four years old when they start school.

Senate Bill 24 would change the date to August first which is before most schools begin a new school year.
