Kentucky's auditor has referred information to the FBI about how Former Whitley County Sheriff Lawrence Hodge handled the finances of his office.
Crit Luallen says she made the referral because an audit showed problems with unresolved deficits at the sheriff's office.
Hodge pleaded guilty in May to using his office to take kickbacks, distribute drugs and pay for personal expenses.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in London. His plea agreement calls for a 15 and a half-year prison sentence.
The audit of Hodge's 2009 tax and 2010 fee accounts shows his deficit has now exceeded $240,000.
