The rain will transition over to snow as we head into mid to late morning across the area. We will see the chances for light accumulation in the valley areas with 1-3" possible on the ridge tops above 2000 feet. Slick spots are possible on untreated roads. While significant snow is not expected, we have issued a Severe Weather Alert Day to keep you informed on possible negative impacts to travel through Tuesday afternoon.
A string of fires in Logan County has investigators on high alert.
West Virginia State Fire Marshal's tell our sister station WSAZ nearly ten fires have been set in Logan County in just the past three weeks.
Six are being looked into as intentionally set fires.
Two were set in the Holden area, one in Buffalo Creek and two others in the Chapmanville area.
Three others have been ruled arson.
Clifford Adkins II was arrested for intentionally setting a fire in Wilkinson. A fire in Lake and another in Justice Addition have been ruled arson.
Assistant Fire Marshal Jason Baltic says he does not believe one person is behind all the fires.
