A Pike County convenience store was robbed for the second time in three days!
Kentucky State Police say the Zebulon Double Kwik was robbed Sunday night and again late Tuesday night.
There are no arrests in either case, and detectives are investigating whether the robberies are related.
Pictures from surveillance cameras Sunday night show a man wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, and a gray scarf around his face coming into the store. The clerk told police the man had a weapon and demanded cash. When the robber got money, he left the store in a dark colored Chevrolet Cavalier, driving towards Meta.
Tuesday night around 11:30, police say a man wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and a white bandana around his face came in with a weapon, demanded cash, then left with money. This suspect had no car and just ran away.
"The face was covered in both incidences, so what we're going to have to do is compare the height and information we obtained from employees there at the business and see if it is two different suspects or the same," said Trooper Shaun Little.
State police are increasing security in Zebulon around the business. Investigators ask people who live in the community to keep an eye out for anyone suspicious.
"If they see somebody during the late hours of the night walking and they look suspicious to give us a call, and we'll have a unit patrol the area," said Trooper Little.
Police also ask anyone who sees a dark color Chevy Cavalier in the area to get a license plate number and tell police.
