LONDON, ky - She's a calm and happy dog that's been through the deadliest of storms.

Angel, a 3 yr. old shepard mix was left without a home, after her owner was killed during the tornado outbreak 6 months ago.

"Her story was just so pathetic, anybody who'd been chained to a tree an two foster homes and then ended up in Louisville in a shelter," said her new owner, Pat Seng.

Officials said that since then Angel has had a hard time adjusting.

"Storm victims can come in of course with the physical trauma's with having been injured and that can come with its own set of fears," said Veterinarian Keaton Smith.

Angel's fear of storms may never go away but her owners said she's continually becoming more friendly and comfortable around people.

However, the best thing the new owners said she gives love only a pet can give.

"They give unconditional love, you know," said Seng.

She's a shy but happy dog that has finally seen the calm after the storm.
