Strand Twin theater closing for good

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - A Prestonsburg landmark will soon be shutting its doors for good.

The Strand Twin Theater is closing next month.

It is the only movie theater in Prestonsburg.

Officials say sales are down, and necessary digital upgrades for the theater will cost too much.

The theater will show its last movie on January 6, 2013.
