An old abandoned structure went up in flames Saturday evening in Perry County.
It happened off Highway 699 in the Cornettsville community.
The old Green Campbell building had apartments on the top floor and an auto sales shop in the basement.
Viper, Leatherwood, and Cornettsville Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the fire.
"The whole top was fully engulfed inside and some of it was coming out of the top when we got here. So we are having to fight it, and we couldn't go inside and penetrate," said Leatherwood Fire Chief Carter Hall.
Fire Chief Hall says they carefully fought the fire because there might be paint in the basement of the building.
Fire officials say it was an electrical fire.
Last Monday, the owners hooked up electricity on the top floor of the building.
Officials say the building has been abandoned for years.
