Student is allegedly held against her will in a parking lot

A man is facing charges after he allegedly held a University of the Cumberlands student against her will in a school parking lot.

The student told Williamsburg Police that 22-year-old Carlton J. Thompson Junior held her inside her vehicle for several hours, forced her to take off her clothes, restrained her with a TV cable, and even threatened to kill her.

Thompson is facing charges of unlawful imprisonment, sexual abuse, and violating an EPO.

He is being held in the Whitley County Detention Center.

The case will be presented to the grand jury next month.
