HINDMAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Students at Hindman Elementary entered the world of Dr. Suess Thursday night for the shcool's Math and Literacy night.
The entire school was decorated for Read Across America week.
Each classroom had its own Dr. Suess theme.
Dozens of kids were able to make crafts, play games, and venture through a 60ft. inflatable whale.
They even took Suess' reading oath.
Teachers say it is important to show students that learning can be fun.
“It integrates fun and learning. We want to integrate fun and reading and learning. We want to encourage our students to read more and enjoy it, and have fun while learning more, said Student Teacher Toni Mullins.
Many parents put in some long hours to make sure the school was decorated.
