The campus was quiet tonight, but following Morehead State University's big win in the NCAA Tournament over the Louisville Cardinals, students were fired up and excited.
"We had our last shot and all I did was hear screaming coming from all the dorms surrounding us," says Brandon Muncy, a student at MSU.
"There was all kinds of car horns and people yelling. It's been an exciting night," says Krissy Kidd, a student at MSU.
While many students made sure they saw the game, for those that didn't catch it on campus or at sports bars, word quickly spread.
"When I was at work they had it on the radio so everyone at work was excited and they're not even students," says Ashley Hall.
For those that live in the same dorm with the team, like some MSU football players, it was an exciting moment to see for their fellow athletes.
"I saw Demonte had the ball in his hands and I was like, he's probably got this shot and he hit it and it was crazy," says Mark Hall, an MSU football player.
"I knew it was gonna be like that. I knew it. Louisville, they're alright. Nothing special. That's why we beat them," says Jerome Raymond, a football player at Morehead State.
Some students say they knew all along the Eagles would pull through.
"It's been a lot of upsets so I wouldn't be surprised if they won again," says Olivia Brainard, a student at Morehead State.
To celebrate the big win, shirts are already being made that will be available to buy.
