Frankfort, Kentucky - Kentucky House Speaker Greg Stumbo says he favors and lawmakers should pass a statewide indoor smoking ban for public places.
Stumbo also repeated his position that Kentucky should "outlaw" adults being able to smoke in a vehicle with a child inside.
He says, "to me it so egregious to see people strap a child into a car... A closed cabin and light up cigarettes. It's an infringement on the health rights of the child".
A poll released earlier this month from the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky shows 65% of Kentucky adults now support a statewide smoking free law in areas such as workplaces, restaurants, and bars.
