Superintendents will be involved in choosing principals

Posted: Thu 6:04 PM, Jul 19, 2012

For the first time since the early 1990's school board superintendents will be involved in the process of choosing principals for elementary and high schools in Kentucky.

The general assembly approved legislation, which took effect last summer that would take some of the burden off of site-based councils when deciding on principals.

The Lexington Herald Leader reports the new arrangement has been receiving praise from school officials.
