Severe weather looks likely later this afternoon. The best chances appear to be between 3 p.m. and Midnight. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and an isolated tornado or two are possible. The area at the greatest risk for severe weather in eastern Kentucky is in the Cumberland Valley, near the I-75 corridor. Keep it locked here for updates.
Thousands of bottles of water and other supplies collected in Pike County are being delivered to tornado ravaged counties.
Businesses and other organizations in Pike County donated all the water, food, and cleaning supplies.
All of the items are collected at the Expo Center.
Monday afternoon, a truckload of cleaning supplies went to West Liberty and a truckload of water left for Salyersville.
“We're still working diligently on helping others and getting them what they need in this time of need,” Jesse Bowling, Pikeville Tourism & Events, said.
Rubbermaid also donated 300 garbage cans to the relief efforts at the Expo Center that will go to hard hit counties.
Officials say the Expo Center will accept items all week.
