HINDMAN, Ky (WYMT) - Surveillance video is giving police more information about who is responsible for an armed robbery in Knott County.
On Tuesday the Ameri-Cash in Hindman was robbed at gunpoint.
Police have now learned two people were involved in the robbery, and they know how the suspects got away.
"Now that we actually have a visual and connected him with a vehicle that will greatly increase our chances of locating him," said Trooper Jody Sims with Kentucky State Police.
The video shows a white utility van pull up, and a man gets out. He walks straight past the security camera.
"It's not of a quality that we are able to get a clear description of the suspect or any type of registration number on the van," said Sims.
Police say they are also now looking for a second suspect. While the first suspect is walking to the Ameri-Cash, the van moves.
From a separate angle, you can see the man dressed in a black hoodie actually walk up the Ameri-Cash and go inside.
"Hopefully there is somebody that may be able to put the van and the image of the subject, the perpetrator, and hopefully someone will have any information of assistance for us," said Sims.
If you have any information about this van or the man seen walking in the video, you should call state police.
Police are also hoping to get more surveillance video from a nearby gas station and hopefully get a clearer picture of the suspect.
