WYMT Severe Weather Alert

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for all of Southeastern Kentucky until 10pm tonight. The primary threats from this system will be strong winds and large hail. Isolated tornadic activity certainly can't be ruled out of the equation.

Kentucky ranked one of highest obese states

A new government survey shows 12 states, including Kentucky, now have very obesity rates.

The latest figures are from a 2011 telephone survey.

Adults were asked their weight and height.

At least 30% of adults are obese in Kentucky and many southern states.

Colorado had the lowest rate, while Mississippi had the highest.
